Rumors have circled the wires like mad as our very own journalist Lindsay was invited last week to record on camera a very dramatic turn of events. Our very own “Gold Rush” Rose stood before an entire congregation of humans and animals alike to give one of the most impressive speeches I’ve heard in a long while.

“People of Dar-Mar- We’re gathered here today not to mourn the loss of my beloved husband, or your respected leader, or celebrate the death of your enemy. I gathered you all here today in honor of a man who’s idea was the same for every living creature he saw. Human, canid, feline, hoofer, crawler- My husband believed strongly that no matter what skin we had on our outside, we were all the same inside, and as such none of us deserved to be treated with as much disrespect and malice as the government of Earth has been treating us.
“My husband’s dying wish was to disband the gang flag named after him and to let those resources go to undisclosed friends and family. While I would greatly love to respect and honor that decision, I’m afraid I cannot allow such an act to happen. Not yet.”
Rose took a deep breath, feeling the weight of over a thousand eyes on her as she continued into the microphone, fingers gripping the sides of her podium tightly.
“Friends, this is not the end of our fight. Black Scythe’s death was a casualty of war, one he took upon himself to make. It was the first step towards freedom. Yes, it’s true: the Black Scythes have done harm in their forty years of existing. Yes, we’ve made some very grievous mistakes in the past. But in the last twenty years of my husband’s life, I saw a complete 180 taken by him.
“He took kids off the streets and put them into foster homes. He helped those who were jobless find work, he took in those homeless and built them new homes out of buildings no one thought could ever live again. He made the economy of the slums better than it’s ever been, and he’s fought against our slave overlords and by the gods, he almost beat them. But fighting a slave driver is not a one man job, unlike he thought. It’s not something just one person can do on their own.
“This is where we come in. Friends, neighbors, acquaintances, enemies. I’m calling all of you now to help. The Black Scythes will not be disbanding. We will not loose the strong bonds we’ve made over the years just so a few government big heads can rest in peace at night. That’s not what we’re about! The Scythe flag represents an interwoven masterpiece of individuals who have come from all sorts of different lives, all sorts of different blood - all that rooted together like a tree to Mother Marinia and drank deep from her rich soil. We all must pay a price- death is calling us all. Sacrifice is what life is about! What are you willing to do to assure your children a safer future? An education? A life you’ve wanted them to have? And what about yourselves- are you going to sit down and let them tell us how to live, how to eat, how to dress, how to exist? Isn’t that an individual’s job, not some government who thinks they can come in and rule over us like giants to an ant colony?
“Brothers and sisters of common blood, I am sending out a call to arms. Raise up your fists! Band together, stay with your families! Keep your friends strong! Buy all your weapons, make your own colors, fly your own flags. But instead of turning your weapons against each other over territory and flags, turn your smoking guns towards the bigger establishments.”
Rose’s brows furrowed, glaring as her right arm flung out to her side, pointing at the glistening buildings in the far distance. The human’s city.
“It’s time we tell those who rule over us what we think! We are no longer an oppressed people, but we are one! One heart in thousands of different people who all believe in the same dream. Join with me! Become your own person! Be free at last, and make the world back to what it used to be for our great, great, great ancestors! Get up off your feet, throw off your chains and shackles, and fight for your freedom!
“Today is not a day to mourn. Mourning will come when we no longer have to fight- when we no longer need to drag our heads low and weep over ourselves and what we’ve become. Today is a day to fight, and to win! Who’s with me?”
She lifted her fist into the air, ears perked. Thousands of voices all rose at once, shouting and screaming at the top of their lungs as animals and humans alike shared their feelings on her speech. The mare had to resist crying right then and there at the sight. This was it: this is what Goha had fought all his life for. In that moment she swore she could feel his arms around her, kissing her neck and whispering into her ear softly.
Thank you…

Raw footage of Rioters taking over cities after Goha “Black Scythe”s passing and his lead mare’s call to arms have been flooding our inboxes for days. We are no longer taking any video footage after discovering a tape that showed graphic content of a young greyhound being beaten to death by the police. We here at channel 4 news do not condone any of these things, and would like to kindly remind you that although we are trying to cover the news, we have specific procedures we have to follow in order to air anything we cover.
Please keep all children and elderly inside and your doors and windows locked at all times. Don’t forget to defend yourself if rioters or police attempt to hurt you - it is your legal right.
Thank you, have a nice day.
